This is a quick sketch in oil on 5 x 7 canvas board. I was reading about creating the illusions of different colors using only Ivory Black, Red Ochre, White, and Yellow Ochre. it is hard to tell in this photo do to the poor lighting and my camera phone. I hope to do more of these studies.

Yeah, relative color is so amazing! This principle applies to so many things it's not even funny. I'd say this is a pretty successful study as well. Nice!
